Is this worth doing? Currently a balmy 1celsius here and not sure isn’t worth freezing my bollix off for
Frankfurt?
I did it last year and it was -5c.
It was horrendous, my Mediterranean genes were made for that sort of climate. Most of the supporters had blankets and cushions with them. It’s a nice touch being able to bring your beer out and watch the football though.
Train runs out from the city to the ground and it’s free with your match ticket. Stadium is out in the woods, literally.
I passed it on the way in alright, looks impressive. Good buzz around the centre with supporters atm, will probably leave it be at this stage, be up against it to get out and get tickets sorted.
Thought the city was a bit of a shithole myself. Very seedy.
Is there still lots of US soldiers around there ? They get messy .
Didn’t notice many myself, full of Turks though. The food is shit over there, not much in choice of restaurant.
Football hipster heaven
Fri 8th Feb Cologne v St Pauli
Sat 9th Feb Dortmund v Hoffenheim

Chaaaaargggggeeeee
Tickets are cheap over there as well by all accounts?
Last Dortmund match I went to tickets were €30 odd I think.
Dortmund imploding in the title game against Bayern. Two points ahead in the league before tonight but conceded 4 first half games. Dortmund have been appalling since Christmas.
Another big tog-filling job by Borussia Dortmund today - they lost 4-2 at home to Schalke 04 and had two players sent off. That will surely do for their title challenge.
Ma Neuer and the boys got one hell of a chasing from Frankfurt there. Didn’t help that Boateng was sent off after 10 minutes.
I’m in Munich next weekend. Think Bayern have Dortmund at home.
You’re in Munich for Remembrance Weekend?
Bayern have apparently sacked their manager after that hiding yesterday.
The time is right for the seventh coming of Jupp Heynckes
Sancho is having a Macedonia here. I don’t get the hype about him. Lewandovski is some finisher. Just doesn’t miss.
Dortmund 2 up against table-toppers RB Leipzig, classy finish from Julian Brandt for the second.
Some game here. Dortmund now 3-2 up.
