We’re about 20 mins drive from any number of beaches on this, the wonderful NSW Central Coast.

Is the evacuation route straight to the coast?

No, up one hill and south towards Gosford. We’re about 5kms north of Gosford.

Just looking at the map there (https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/) and the national parks to the west of you (Wollemi and Yengo) look like they’ll be fairly decimated. There’s a fair bit of “bush” around Wyoming too but the fire closest to you seem to be under control.

We’re sorrounded by bush. We’re fucked really.
It’s a great place to live, suburban but enough bush to make it picturesque. Not far from shops, not far from fantastic beaches. A brilliant football club we’re heavily involved in.
