Apparently my initial analysis wasn’t too far off.
Pastor Danny Nalliah, in a Catch the Fire Ministries press release, yesterday blamed the bushfires on abortions
PASTOR Danny Nalliah was not surprised by the bushfires due to a dream he had last October relating to consequences of the abortion laws passed in Victoria. He said these bushfires have come as a result of the incendiary abortion laws which decimate life in the womb. CTFM has called on all Australian Bible-believing, God-fearing Christians to repent and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for his mercy and protection over Australia once again. “Yesterday (Monday) the front page of the Herald Sun newspaper reported ‘the darkest hour’ for Victoria. A few months ago the news media should have reported the darkest hour for the unborn, but unfortunately the decriminalisation of abortion bill went through parliament and was passed, thus making many people call Victoria the baby-killing state of Australia,” Mr Nalliah said.
“In my dream I saw fire everywhere, with flames burning very high and uncontrollably. With this I woke up from my dream with the interpretation as the following words came to me in a flash from the spirit of God. That his conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb.
“Can we stop the fires? Yes we can! But it will take God’s children to rally together and repent and cry unto him as in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (The Holy Bible).”
Australia arson-charge suspect faces victims’ anger
13/02/2009 - 10:44:12
A man charged with deliberately starting one of the wildfires that killed a total of more than 180 people in Australia had to be taken into protective custody to guard him from angry victims today.
Police said the man, whose identity is being kept secret, faced one count of arson causing death and intentionally lighting a wildfire near the town of Churchill that killed at least 21 people. It was one of hundreds of fires that raged through south-eastern Victoria last Saturday leaving 7,000 people homeless and razing entire towns.
The suspect also was charged with possessing child pornography.
The suspects identity was being kept secret for his own safety, Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Dannye Moloney said. He was brought to the state capital of Melbourne from Morwell, 75 miles to the east and near the the town of Churchill.
He has been moved from that area and moved to the Melbourne metropolitan area for security reasons, Moloney said.
The suspect was formally charged in the towns magistrates court, but did not appear in person. He was ordered to be held in custody and to undergo psychiatric evaluation.
Police said that magistrates banned publication of any details or photographs of the man that could identify him. Another court hearing was scheduled for Monday.
If found guilty, the man faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison for the deadly arson charge, and a maximum of 15 years on the second arson charge.
Police have said they believe foul play was the cause of at least two of the deadly blazes, including the Churchill fire.

Getting a fair trial will be a challenge if someone doesn’t get to him first.[/FONT]
strange how they casually throw in he had child pornography as well. kind of like trying to really make him sound to be a right cunt. lets just throw any allegations onto him that we can. doubt he’ll survive too long anywhere tho.
Tis very strange and and although the report of having caught one of the arsonists is reported all over the world Breaking News is the only report that does include it.
Celtic have sacrificed their full summer transfer budget to aid the victims:
The loss of over 200 lives in the Australian bushfires has touched the international football family.
Today, Celtic FC has donated 10,000 ($22,000 AUD) to the Australian Red Cross.
Celtic FC CEO Peter Lawwell said, “This is a terrible tragedy and we are all very sorry for the victims and their families.
“Celtic Football Club is very pleased to donate 10,000 which has been presented by Scott McDonald today to the Red Cross.”
The fires occurred in McDonald’s home state of Victoria and touched him and his Celtic teammates so much that the club saw it fitting to give so generously to the cause.
Every little helps Gman and it should also be noted that Celtic support hundreds of charities in line with the club’s charter. They were set up as a charity themselves after all. Now, when is that arsonist paedo guy being hanged/castrated?
Committal hearing on 26th May. He remains in custody until at least then.
The long period granted between now and the hearing is to allow the prosecutors to gather all the witness statements, around 200 witnesses expected.
Its not strange, the cops apparently found child porn when they searched his house, so what were they going to do - not charge him? Its a criminal offence. The problem they’ll have is finding an objective jury. I can’t actually see how he can really get a fair trial (not that I would be worried about that, he can burn in hell for all I care).
