They thought the tippy tappy rubbish with skinny fast lads would win them 10 All Irelands. The Cork support bought into this rubbish and hounded out Gerald McCarthy and JBM when they tried to implement a more physical style

That Cork team - led by Cusack, Halpin & Gardiner - brought Cork GAA into disrepute with their antics that time. Appearances on Prime Time, marches, press conferences - absolutely surreal looking back.
They set Cork hurling back years. But for Frank and co standing their ground and eventually breaking Cusack and co you’d wonder how it would have ended up.
They need to sort out that colossal stadium debt too.
