I have to say, I had never heard the expression “clunge” until I leafed through the Iris Robinson thread.

Apparently, its very difficult keeping up with the young people these days Flano.

Auld stock has being used frequently for years.

When I opened this thread that is the word I thought of.

I was skating through Grafton St yesterday and there was any amount of ladies on the phone saying ‘Oh my God it’s awful. They haven’t even gritted the footpaths or anything.’

A month ago they wouldn’t have even known what grit was.

I was hoping it would be coined The Deep Freeze but we’ll have to live with it now.
