1 Staying in the Clayton. Somewhere to eat and have a pint of a Sunday evening?
2. Birmingham airport at about 9pm Tuesday night, what will security be like ? (Flight is at 11)
@Declan_Moffat @Plastic_Paddy
What you looking for food wise on Sunday?
There’s a dishoom right by Victoria Square.
Indian streetery on Bennett’s Hill.
You’re not too far from Digbeth. There I’d say Rico Libre - Tapas
Cafe LoveLife
Or Hanbao
If you’re in Digbeth, you’ve Nortons for a pint. Owner is of Galway Stock. Great lad.
9pm should leave you enough time at the airport
Superb from @Declan_Moffat here. Consummate pro, delivering whats needed without fuss or fanfare. A denis Irwin of a poster…
It’s probably better that @Declan_Moffat got in earlier. He’s classier than me. I’d have gone for Shababs and quinns
Two hours is mental if you think of it late on a Tuesday night.
It’s hit and miss. Last time I went through, took me no time.
Manchester T3 has been good recently security wise, even when it’s been jammed. It’s an unpleasant enough place though. Often you’d have to sit on the floor if you can’t get into the lounge.
That was my experience at Christmas. Horrible place.
It’s awful. We only live 10 mins away and you’re always welcome.
Not a bad shout either if @flattythehurdler wanted to travel.
There’s also the woodman pub by HS2 which is the closest pub to him.
Had a couple in the woodman. Couldn’t get across to digbeth because the whole place is dug up.
I think all the works have been done now but was a complete shitshow last year, get there usual 2 hours before and you’ll be fine. Wetherspoons will prob be the only place still open.
Not been since it reopened last year. It’ll make a killing when the station opens.
