Here, you’re the one spending €500 on a radio not me.

Sorry pal, it’ll be a dark day before I go to Offaly for the big Match. I’ll wait for it to return to Laois.

You could buy a Sony for 89 quid on amazon

Never been to the ploughing but it is very local this year. Would it be complete madness to bring a 3 year old?

I’m dreading it, traffic jams, poor quality soil making unfoot conditions atrocious & rain. Fuck its bound to flog rain in Offaly. WTF was Anna May thinking? :worried:

Does the car have Bluetooth?

What type of car?

I’d imagine it ain’t going to be as simple as plug and play a new radio.

Aftermarket always look shit.

Myself and the ould fella will kick every tyre you have before I introduce myself.

I’d rather eat white dogshit than drag & carry a child around a crowded Ploughing Match event.

Tae & sandwiches will be ready.

I’m not sure pal, I hear the exhibitors are shitting it about access. Are the Worlds coming next year?

Its do’able. Go early. Plan the trip, know what you want to see. But realise you’ll not get to see fuck all of what you want to see. I’ve met plenty of lads who would bring the youngsters on the first day, and then come back the 3rd day themselves to do a bit of business and skull pints.

Is it any good? Expensive? Rednecks seem to go nuts for it

I’ve no idea what I want to see and have no business to do. Just interested as it is so close. I missed it the last time it was here and when it was a few miles from my house in Kilkenny.

I’ll probably leave the little fella at home and bring the ould lad instead. If I could get him to cycle a bike for a few miles we’d be there in no time. Would going late not be an option? You’d never be there earlier than the farmers. In my experience the traffic seem to be worse early in the morning.

The Tullamore show had record crowds a few weeks ago. I’d say there will be massive numbers at it. The land is as good as you get up this direction, but that isn’t saying a lot.

I’d always be of mind to get in early and get out early. But if you’re not doing that, noon or so should suffice, as long as you’re on the road before 4, because all hell breaks loose thereafter. Not sure what Screggan will be like in that regard, but I wouldnt fancy it.

Unless your there for 8.00am it pointless leaving early. Anytime i went on a social outing i’d leave it later & arrive in at 10.30 or 11.00am at my ease. As MBB says, be out gap by 3.30pm & you’d fly home.
