Cark, is it under water yet?

Overheard a conversation between a local and a foreign couple in hotel bar there The Carkie asks them where they’re from. German. He then asks ‘are ye farty minutes ahead’. I didn’t know what he was asking but it turns out he was on about time difference. He was either
a) A ferociously stupid man.
b) Taking the piss
c) Reckons Cark is 20 minutes ahead of the rest of us.

Or d) all of the above

I’m gonna suggest option (e) pissed out his mind.

Or f) he was talking to a couple from Tipp

@gilgamboa where’s the hip place for dinner in Cork these days? Ate in Elbow Lane on my last visit and would have absolutely no qualms in going back there but if there was a more interesting alternative I’d go for it.

Dont know would i call it hip but Jacobs on the Mall is superb spot. There for years but brilliant food in a great venue

If you really wanted to splash the cash you could go to the Japanese man…its about 100 quid a head for a tasting menu though.

Id still probably go to elbow lane if I was going out for dinner tomorrow though tbh

The Fiat 500 is in a bit of bother

5 minutes of Paschal giving an update from Marlborough St is enough to send anyone into a depression spiral. Tis no wonder I avoid Morning Ireland.

Cork flooding is the pick-me-up the nation needed this morning

Can Cork County Council or OPW not do something to prevent this happening? It seems to be a yearly event nowadays.

The city is a series of islands, how did they expect this to play out?

Pana is named for the Panama Canal sure.

They thought they were Venice

They’re a shower of drippy bastards alright.
