Carling Cup 2009/2010

Is Leeds v Liverpool on the box tonight?

brown noser.

Leeds really putting it up to Liverpool here and should be leading. O-0 currently, 2nd half just after starting.

Snodgrass having an absolute stormer.

Elland Road is absolutely rocking…

Mascherano should be banned for that punch

Great to see a lower league team put it up to a club as big as Liverpool.

predictable droll from epl runt

A sly cuntish dig:guns:

Becchio could get into the Argentina squad ahead of Tevez the way he’s playing tonight.

You’ll always get the odd shock in the cups though Runt, where a lower league minnow beats one of the big boys.

Beckford is a class act

Is Snodgrass on the Scotland team?

This Leeds crowd seem to have fairly big stadium for a League 1 club.

Put in their place now though…

I heard they’d a good team a few years ago. I think they were even playing in the Championship at one stage…

Need to put on Gerrard to finish off a division 3 team.

I’ve been trying to learn more about these ā€œLeedsā€ guys. After a quick google search, this is what i’ve discovered:

"The residents and city officials of Leeds would like to welcome you to our peaceful, rural community. Located on US Highway #2, Leeds is located 30 miles west of Devils Lake and within a short drive from the cities of Grand Forks and Minot. Because of our convenient location, we are far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close enough to enjoy the conveniences that the cities have to offer.

Here in Leeds, children still play in the streets and folks wave to each other as they pass on the road. Crime and pollution are virtually nonexistent, providing a safe environment for raising children. Our community boasts an award-winning school system, a nine-hole golf course, picturesque parks, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, and a swimming pool, making Leeds an unbeatable place for families."

Surprisingly enough there is no mention of their soccer team. Maybe after tonights brave performance they’ll update the piece and give these brave players their moment in the spotlight. It’s the least these lads deserve…

Good enough performance tonight but lacked the class to finish the self proclaimed ā€œbest team in the worldā€ off. The goal shouldn’t have been diallowed but no harm anyway as the league is the priority.

Anyone see the Spurs highlights last night?

Gomes pulled off a series of top-drawer saves (Bandage like) I’d say he saved three ā€œgoalsā€ at least. But then when the ball was played back to him he couldn’t kick it out at all. Don’t know what to make of this player at all.
