Ray Wilkins, aka “The Crab”. RIP

Supa Ralf. Rip

I recall him co-commentating on Football Italia back in the 90s.

‘Good afternoon Peter [Brackley], good afternoon everybody’

RIP

Ray Wilkins was part of all our lives in a small way.

We all recognised him, we all knew the soothing sound of his voice.

We all knew him.

He was more a part of our lives than most of our second cousins and most of our non-next door neighbours are.

And now, he just won’t be there anymore.

It feels weird in a very minor way.

Farewell Ray.

Was he a pisshead?

RIP.

He seemed like a decent sort.

He also reminded me of the yellow pygmy goby when I saw him on tv in recent years.

My word.

One of the greatest of all time

Martin Luther King died on April 4th, 1968.

Ray Wilkins died on April 4th, 2018.

Greatness is united.

MLK was killed by a (James Earl) Ray
Ray wilkins was killed a (ML) King sized heart attack

Free at last they could not take his pride

He was. While off the road for drink driving, he was found driving while 4 times over the limit.

RIP Ray. A stalwart of Shoot magazine in the 70’s. Captain of Chelsea aged only 18.

Ah ok. was wondering why @Tassotti was calling him one of the greats, makes sense now.

Scored in the drawn FA cup final of '83 and went on to pick up a winners medal.

A demon for the drink by all accounts. A young man really. Sad news.

one of the politest and well mannered men in football
