One of the great names of Dublin GAA. Me oul’ fella used to often talk about how he was unfairly penalised for a free for picking the ball up - the ball was off the ground - in the 1961 All-Ireland hurling final. Dublin lost by one point.

His son Terry Ferguson won a few all Ireland’s with Meath

I read an interesting piece on Terry Ferguson maybe a year or two ago. He’s been working on the mines in Papua New Guinea in recent years.
