Mickey Harte’s daughter passes away

Michaela Harte, the daughter of Tyrone football manager Mickey Harte, has died.
The sad news broke this afternoon that Michaela Harte died while on honeymoon.
Michaela married Down footballer John McAreavey on December 30th.
That’s fcuking awful. Poor Mickey and family. On honeymoon, Christ…
I agree. What a horrible tragedy though. Horrendous.
Was just about to post this story up on its own thread. Condolences to John and Mickey and to all his family on this awful loss. 
Jesus, thats awful, Mickey is extremely close to her from reading his book, and she would be friendly with the Tyrone team in a big way as well. He’s had an awful lot of tragedy in his life, but this is truly awful. And he husband the poor fella, what a disaster for the family.
An accident is it?
I think the statement from Mickey on tv3 news stated that she “had been killed” so presumably that’s the case.

Under the circumstances, what the fuck does it matter? Reports are sketchy, even media reports have said its happened in both Mauritus and Dubai, so its incredibly difficult to believe anything yet. I’ve even seen her reported as 27 and 30. I’d believe nothing yet. Both families statement didnt say much.
UTV have now reported that she had been feeling unwell and was found dead later by her husband, to be honest, I’d believe nothing at the moment, just seems to be wild rumours. Shocking sad, fucking tragic.

A joint statement issued by Mr Harte and Dr McAreavey read:
‘We wish to confirm that we have received confirmation this afternoon that Michaela, married on December 30 2010 to John McAreavey, was killed today in Mauritius where the couple were on honeymoon.’
Killed is a bit strong for feeling unwell and being found dead.
Very, very sad news.
Awful news. May she RIP.
