Left the show only a couple of months back on leave after complaining of not being able to cope with the job.
Now dead after a âshort illnessâ.
Of course Iâm only speculating.

Dont follow. You saying she topped herself?
Trying to read between the lines - yes.
No mention of a physical illness anywhere.

Died in a hospital anyway.
It could well be.

What is there to dislike about what I said?
Disagree - fair enough.[/QUOTE]
I just think you go on about suicide a bit too much. Thatâs all.
Fair enough - thatâs your opinion.
But if anything this country has learned is that brushing it under the carpet doesnât do much good.

Agree. But maybe she just died?
I never doubted that âshe just diedâ.
Anyway a brain tumour being reported now.

Do i get a prize now?
Given that she smoked about 3 boxes of Superkings in every episode of Coronation Street, Iâd venture she died of cancerâŚShe loved her fags did Deirdre.
But I, too, am only speculating. Anyway, may she rest in peace.

Spent her last few days in a hospice apparently. Cancer is the cause being confirmed according to the wireless.
Anne Kirkbrideâs death stopped me in my tracks last night. But still no celebrity death has shocked and upset me like that of Richard Whiteley. Gone but never forgotten.
I noticed that. You broke the almost permanent silence that exists in the apartment to break the news to myself and @LetterkennyMan
I was at my motherâs earlier and she was reading the paper and i oversaw that she was reading a tribute if you will to Deirdre from Coronation Street. There was a picture of her from her younger days, iâd guess early to mid 20âs and she was quite a looker. Lovely long legs on her, i was thinking iâd definitely have given her one. In fact i would have for a long time, probably until she hit her 50âs.
