Celebrity Deaths - 2016

Both of them were in Silver Streak which was a big favourite in our house when I was a lad. Must check it out again.

Throw up the Christmas tree first

Complications from alzheimers, sounds like a release.

Had a wonderful Christmas memory last year when I sat down with little madame for her first time to watch Willie wonka

Ah Jayses. I have my two ( 14 and 10) trained into it. I have it on DVD but will always wait until it comes on the telly around Christmas

Well, don’t let them watch the RTE news anyway.

Sorry chief, you have me flummoxed there. What are you saying?

The BallyJD story where the oul fella killed his 3 sons and wife. Your two might start asking questions.

The real Willie Wonka… not like that wife beater Depp!

Oh sorry. I thought you were talking about Gene Wilder.
The 14 year old is watching the news there with me. She’s old enough to understand and I’d just kind of mystified by it. The ten year old is upstairs having a row with the wife because she’s just after going through another bottle of the wife’s mascara. ( which she only bought on Saturday)

Sounds like my house about 5 years ago. Don’t worry, it gets easier.

Fuck university. Get them married off after the leaving cert. Not my problem then. (Only messing by the way)

The youngest is either going to be a self made millionaire by twenty or I’ll be visiting her in the joy. There’s no fucking in between with her.

Very sad about Gene Wilder. A true genius. I reckon I’ve watched Willy Wonka 40+ times, every Christmas as a child, no Christmas was complete without it, then with Fitzy Jnr, one of his favourites. All the films like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein and The Producers with my oul lad, The Producers one of his favourite films. Time to introduce the next generation to these classics. It says a lot that we can watch these films time and time again and the anticipation is there, we know what the next line is, we know the jokes, but when delivered, they never fail to crack us up.
“Welcome, sonny”? “Make yourself at home”? “Marry my daughter”? You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons."

Legendary wrestling manager Mr. Fuji has died at the age of 82.

Glad to see Jimmy “The Mouth of the South” Hart and Bobby “the Brain” Heenan are still hanging on. I thought at least one if not both was dead
