Maurice was a real antidote to the claims of the pensions industry that we’re all living longer and will have to provide for that – Maurice had the right solution for providing for income needs in his old age.
Never heard of him

Leonard Cohen RIP
One of the true greats. Slán abhaile buddy
What a life’s output. Like Bowie ends it with a beautiful piece of work (not comparing them). He was a great man to accompany getting the ride, I’m sure he would be proud of the compliment.
Ah fuck, fuck this fucking year
Ah dear. I saw the thread for posting your favourite Leonard Cohen song and thought it was just someone posting a few tunes. RIP Lenny.
We said good night to Broadway,
giving it our best best regards.
Tipped our hats to Mr Cohen,
Dear old Times Squares favourite bard
I’m genuinely saddened. I’ve been a lifelong fan.
You gowl.
So long, Leonard Cohen.
Different Mr Cohen but you probably know that.
I wasn’t a huge fan of LC but his classics were just that. Suzanne and Famous blue raincoat were favourites of mine.
82 is a fine age to reach, from the quotes doing the rounds, he was more than ready.
Still no less sad.
I got him with the rolly eyes mate. You won’t get any likes for that.
A few years ago when my first daughter was about 3 days old I was cooking the dinner with her asleep beside me in her basket. I was listening to Leonard Cohen singing “Suzanne” on the ipod speakers. I remember distinctly looking at this beautiful child asleep and listening to Cohen’s beautiful music and thinking that life could not get much better.
Then my mother in law burst into the kitchen as quietly as a baby elephant and woke the child. She then announced that she loved Leonard Cohen and that “he useta to put me in the mood when I was a young one”. Fairly ruined the fucking moment and nearly ruined Leonard Cohen on me too.
That never happened.
