I was reading Christy Roches account of the 1984 derby there recently, young OâBrien mugged his auld lad off good and proper, your story evoked a memory for me of the 1997 derby, I was living in Cork and it was the June Bank Holiday weekend and as usual there had been a weekender in Sir Henrys, I threw a tenner on Benny the Dip and didnât he only go and win by a nose at a big price, I will never forget it, a lovely Saturday and I was out of my head
