Very sorry to see Robert Hardy passing away, All Creatures was a great favourite in my household growing up, he was terrific in it. I was just watching him recently in The Spy Who Came in from The Cold with his great friend Richard Burton.
Apparently as a result of the various Shakespearean roles he performed, he became interested in the Long Bow and wrote the acknowledged standard text on the weapon.

Myself and Mrs @caulifloweredneanderthal went with that for the first dance at our wedding. What a song. Hats off to Jimmy Webb for writing it but Glen’s delivery is phenomenal
