Another one when someone moves on is 'He changed the way we look at the game/Cinema/Politics(whatever it is) Most of the time it’s complete shite, they changed nothing but ppl feel the need to pile on with platitudes at such moments.
That they didn’t change anything doesn’t detract one bit from the fact they excelled at whatever they did or the contribution they made.
Nah. There might well have been a three way split in a hung parliament with the SDP being the smallest party. The performance of the UK economy between 1979 and 1983 was dire, a deep recession and unemployment skyrocketing. The Falklands War won that election for Thatcher. The Labour/SDP split was a classic case of centrists throwing their toys out of the pram when they couldn’t get their way, much like happened when Corbyn took over as Labour leader.
Ok lads. I’ve given you both likes cos I’m drinking a pint on a Monday afternoon but that’s to be the end of this gag. @Bandage can leave a message on @Rocko’s desk to ban the next person who makes this gag? Thanks
It’s slightly worse, in that both players played for the same team but at different times- so it looks like they could recognize the uniform but couldnt recognize the player - which is even further compounded by the fact that the player they showed is still playing and the dead chap retired about 5 years ago
Nicholas Parsons’ death took just a minute to unfold. Medics are still trying to work out whether Larry Gogan’s death took just a minute or whether they blundered in the Golden Hour.
