Mayo’s problems over the last decade is that there has been nowhere near enough of that kind of fuckacting . They haven’t had enough scoring forwards .
I only saw bits of tonight’s games ( the parts I saw weren’t bad ) but you wouldn’t pick Cillian O Connor out tonight as a serious IC forward

Ah come on . He is a fine free taker in an era when there are loads of games . He was a decent player and was a decent finisher but he didn’t shoot the lights out from play in real serious games . He never really had the yard of pace to do real damage at IC level

I can’t argue with stats I suppose . That said my point stands 
If Cillian wasn’t taking frees no one would have heard of him. Average from play good at the aul frees. Dean Rock and Dara o Cinneide are/were just as good as him. Neither Dara or Dean spent whole matches trying to get opposition players sent off either.
