That’s sad news. RIP. He had a pretty turbulent life albeit always came across as a decent fellow. He was born in England before his adoptive parents emigrated to Australia when he was quite young. He was old school in the sense that he’d have been on for going out for a few beers with the opposition players at the end of a days play. I was in Australia during the 2006/07 Ashes and he was getting a bit of flak from sections in Australia for seen to be too chummy with ‘the Poms’.

There was a chap in Limerick during the 80s selling/renting pirate videos out of a van who played that music, like the whippy man would, to let people know he was on the street.
It’s my abiding memory of the piece.
