One of Ireland’s great football men, Terry Neill, has died at the age of 80.

Condolences to Ireland’s many Gooners and indeed Gooners from everywhere.

Was there controversy when he managed Tottenham, @GeoffreyBoycott? Did he take over from Bill Nicholson?

Isn’t there a thread for the Junior A section on this issue. Significant people who’ve died or something but these last efforts aren’t Senior standard.

Archie Roach is, however a legend and hence a celebrity for the current purposes. I have a savage CD of his given to me in Perth by my notorious BIL who’s been polluting me with assorted body-numbing liquids for 4 days.

Marty Morrissey passed on his condolences on the radio this morning

Mighty sound gesture

Does Brendan Bowyer make your list?

Edit only seeing his funeral is this week. Missed that he died in May.

It’s a marginal call but he was BIG in his hey-day of the 60’s and 70’s. He buzzed off to Vegas and set up camp there. Allowed.
