The reboot was terrible

Barry John probably did well to see 79. He had his problems with the bottle for years. I spotted him in Cardiff on a few occasions over the years when I was over at matches propping up various bars.

He was an incredible out half. The old footage of him still very much stands the test of time.

A lot of Welsh rugby greats have passed on in the last couple of years.

In the last 3 years or so, JPR, JJ Wiiliams, John Dawes, Phil Bennett and now Barry John from the backline of the 70’s have all died.

Tony “Charlie” Faulkner of the famous “Viet Gwent” Pontypool front row died last year too.
