If the glove don’t fit you must acquit. One of the greatest missteps in prosecutorial history introducing the glove as evidence.

Seinfeld lawyer Jackie Chiles was a great parody of Johnny Cochran. “Your face is my case”

Is Yosser dead? Jesus he was a great tragic character

I must have been 8 or 9 years old watching that show, it was powerful, Fords and Dunlops closed in Cork around that time and it became real life

He was a cult hero before we knew what a cult hero was. A grim time in Ireland too so i think Yosser’s plight resonated just as much this side of the water.

You’re Graeme Souness, you look like me. And Magnum.

The Boys from the Blackstuff. Grim enough if you were to watch it now.

It was grim back then

It was great precisely because it was a searing portrayal of a grim reality. It had humour, but the grimness was by far the centrepiece.

Auf Wiedersehen Pet had grimness, but the centrepiece was humour.

Television of that quality isn’t made any more.

I think it is if you look for it. I watched the Ken Loach film "the old oak’ on netflix there. I thought it was excellent. About immigrants moving into a small town in the north of England. Very relevant and handled beautifully by Loach.

I know Graeme Souness

You look like me. Magnum as well.

The OJ:Made in America is some documentary series, I really enjoyed it. You couldn’t get luckier than having those prosecutors on your case.
