When I heard this news earlier I was stunned.

1. Gene Hackman had died. One of my favourite ever actors.
2. The wife and dog died also!!

I believe that Australia are having a national day of mourning for one of its former rulers.

I think he has become a bit of a recluse in recent years and was rarely seen. His wife looks a good bit younger than him so it doesn’t look like a case of two elderly people passing away without anyone noticing it.

Gene Hackman was a rare American actor I’ver actually heard of. He was a great actor and The French Connection is my favourite film. This is awful, especially coming on top of the awful news about Henry Kelly, who presented my favourite lunchtime television quiz show.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are living through the golden age of celebrity death, and then one day, we’ll wake up and find nobody of consequence is left, only the drummer from Blur and that Ray Shah fella who was on Big Brother.

an absolute legend of the screen, brought gravitas to everything he did and if he was in a movie, it would at least be watchable. he didnt get enough credit for his comedic stuff like heartbreakers, wes anderson films or even superman.

I think Henry was on Game for a laugh with Jeremy Beadle and Isla st Clare. Isla was a bit of a ride if i remember correctly.
