Celtic 2012/2013 season discussion thread

Forster, Matthews, Rogne, Wilson, Izaguirre, Forrest, Ambrose, Wanyama, Ledley, Hooper, Stokes.

Subs: Zaluska, Samaras, Commons, Kayal, Miku.

Could be 4-4-2 with Ambrose in midfield or some kind of 3 at the back set up. Not too enthused by the lineup - lacks a bit of guile - but crucial to have Hooper restored.

4-4-2 with Ambrose and Wanyama in central midfield with Forrest on the right and Ledley on the left.

Great play by Forrest to get to the byline and Ledley heads Celtic in front from his cross.

Shocking mistake by Izaguirre. 1-1.

Stokes showing why he is the best striker ahead the club with a headed finish at the back post.

2-1. Stokes from a short corner routine involving Forrest, Hooper and then Forrest again. Stokes pulled to the back post to head Forrestā€™s cross home.

What, 14 goals in 21 matches after he signed in the January 2011 transfer window?

He has shown signs of improvement on last seasonā€™s showing, he has regressed since he first joined us however. You are really stupid for failing to grasp that.

Ambrose has been shit in midfield today. Stokes outperforming Hooper today so youā€™d think heā€™d have to be a shoe-in to start against Juventus in midweek - you would think.

Forrest and Ledley have been very good. Both goals created by Forrest after assisting in midweek too. Ledley has been excellent with and without the ball and weā€™re playing some decent football when Stokes drifts wide and Hooper drops deep. A very sloppy goal to concede and weā€™re conceding poor goals too regularly lately. Need to keep getting Forrest on the ball as heā€™s beating the full back all ends up.

Why is Lennon persisting with Ambrose?

He should not be in the side until he gets his head together, he has been an error-strewn buffoon today.

Hooper blows a one-on-one.

Stokes off for Samaras?

WTF? Stokes has been our best attacker today, maybe Lennon is resting him for Juventus, if he doesnā€™t start then itā€™s another piece of retarded management by Lennon.

Your pettiness knows no bounds.

Get that fucking clown Ambrose off.

What a save by Forster. Fantastic.

One in eight for Hooper now, surely there is no way Lennon can start him ahead of Stokes against Juventus?

Poor second half but did enough to progress. Izaguirre was way below par throughout and the performance level of the entire team dropped off after we played quite well in the first half. We didnā€™t retain possession well enough and invited too much pressure on ourselves. We look a bit stretched with the injuries to Lustig, Brown and Mulgrew and arenā€™t in the best of form heading to Turin.

Lennon thought Ambrose had a good game. Is he on drugs? If this man believes that along with what he said about Hooper during the week then there is no way he is a fit an proper person to manage a football team.

Heā€™s looked somewhat rusty since his return from injury but a wonderful save from Forster to preserve our lead late on today.
