Think Celtic should pay it if it is the case. He’s a good age and has settled in wonderfully so far.
Getting rid of a few fringe players would certainly aid this deal.
I don’t know how reliable any insider related website would be but I think that’s a reasonable price for him. The likes of Oli Burke could cost the same and we all know how poor he is.
We were linked with a French winger the other day too. And we need to have an Edouard replacement lined up.
I think she should be getting a lot of our business done early.
That Pavlovic chap is still at Partizan and I think it would perfect business for us to snap him up in January and let him finish out the season there. I don’t know how concrete the links are but Lennon did attend a Partizan game and his pedigree seems good.
I think our squad is pretty strong at the minute. We could do with offloading a few fringe players and getting in a defensive midfielder.
I’d like to see us move for Roberts in the summer if his fortunes don’t take up. We could get him at a steal.
Roberts shouldn’t have signed a new deal with City. They’re letting him go on loan but no club will pay what they have wanted for him. He’d be much more affordable if he was going into his last year of contract. Worth enquiring about anyway.
A defensive midfielder and a striker should be our priorities. The striker might be even more urgent if Griffiths isn’t going to be featuring.
We may well go back in for Turnbull too. I look forward to that saga.
I can’t see City looking for too much for him. Something around £5-7m should get him and I think he’s certainly worth a punt at that given his age and potential.
Hopefully we are proactive in January, there is money there to spend.
I think that’s too expensive for him to be honest. He really hasn’t played enough in the last 3 seasons. I’d rather gamble on two Shved types.
What does £5m get you in the modern game. Roberts is young and he’s done well here before. I think he’s worth the punt.
He’s 23 in February. Hardly that young. He hasn’t progressed at all either.
It got us Frimpong, Connell, O’Connor, Elhamed etc. last summer. I think he’s a good player but not sure about his hamstrings and he has stagnated a bit. I’m sure he’ll be available for someone to loan.
It would have gotten us Super John McGinn with £3mn still left over the summer before last.
