Celtic Non-Matchday Discussion

Yeah he was very good. He’s funny in the air. He does these little hands on the back all the time and seems to be strong in the air at corners but he likes a risky sideways header when defending a goal kick.

Yeah, I’m still very much on the fence about him. He’s generally been solid but when he’s bad, he’s very, very bad. The cup final against Hibs was car crash stuff from him.

Weren’t Leeds targetting another one of our youth team left backs recently?

Morrison and Hepburn don’t seem to have done much out in Germany yet, be interesting to see how they’ve done in a few years time. The lad Adam went to Man City and Hjelde to Leeds who I see made his debut at the weekend.

Have we lost any other youth players recently I’m forgetting?

Possibly Liam Hughes? Was about 18 or 19 when he moved to Liverpool

Looks like Morelos is out of the Celtic game as he has been called up for international duty with Colombia.

Well deserved

@Rocko

How many players can we register/deregister for the ECL after the transfer window.

We have Shaw out and possibly Barkas/Soro/Ajeti/Uhroghide to join him - Bolingoli wasn’t registered initially.

We have the 4 new bhoys to register then.

I believe it is 3 new players who we can register.

this is broadly accurate

Interesting to see Celtic into 6/5 for league … I just fear rangers are so suited to playing them that it will be hard make up the difference in intervening games …

Regardless of how many existing players we deregister?

Someone isn’t going to make the cut so? :grimacing:

Ideguchi?

Hard to know.

When they met earlier in the season, Jota, CCV, Hatate, Ideguchi, Giakoumakis, Maeda had not arrived. Kyogo started wide left, Juranovic was making his debut. An awful lot has changed since then.

If Celtic win their next three games then the minimum Celtic will trail by is 1 point. It’s then more or less a straight shootout from there.

Just think they’ll be totally suited to absorbing Celtic pressure and catching them on the break or with a set piece …

Maybe but I am confident. The thing that will rightfully worry Celtic fans is the interenece from match officials to aid Der Hun.

As long as I’ve watched old firms I rarely recall Celtic being Dominated but nicking a winner whereas i remember rangers doing it countless times …

Yeah league cup final last season was an example of that happening but it’s hard to think of (m)any other occasion(s).

Huns won 8 in a row under the new manager up until the other night. They’ve had a lot of luck this season and been the beneficiary of a raft of dodgy decisions, but they looked very poor in the part of the match I watched (last 31 minutes plus injury time).

Massive game for Celtic away to Hearts next midweek before thoughts turn to the Huns. Will be difficult anyway but Rogic and the Japanese bhoys might be out due to international call ups.

Still no squad announcement from Japan yet? Their next game is in a weeks time. I’d say Kyogo is being held back from playing until then but it would be nice to get word on the fate of Maeda/Hatate. Rogic will almost certainly be called by Australia.

Rogic has been called up by Australia and will miss games against Hearts, Dundee United and huns.

I believe Ange said the other day Kyogo is our for 2-3 weeks and implied he won’t be back for huns.
