Celtic Non-Matchday Discussion

Gale force winds there too I think …Roma gave up the chance to train there and were beaten 6-1

I know. We don’t play well on plastic ever

Yeah Celtic trained in Lennoxtown this morning and flew to Bodo this afternoon.

Watched the Ange press conference earlier. He reckons if you think training for an hour on the pitch is going to make a difference to your performance then you’re in trouble.

I’m choosing not to.disagree with him.

Do you get the feeling he’s not overly concerned about this as he feels he has bigger fish to fry, and little chance of turning around the tie?

I think he’s treating it like another league game. But he’s big on preparing the same way for every game and not being affected by weather or pitches or opposition. That’s why he was short with the chap in the clip above. It’s the same preparation and outlook for every game.

I think Celtic have a sneak tomorrow (5.45pm kick off).

I’d have agreed but for the plastic. We’ve not played that well on it, and the Oldham lads have written how huge an advantage it was back in the day to play on it regularly.

What a bunch of vermin

I’m a little ambivalent about this. I can think of many more issues I have with the club than playing a friendly in Australia next year.

A “friendly” with der hun?

We either stand alone or we don’t

Been saying as much. Must be knackered and upside down. Two tough men.

Are Liverpool Football Club potentially snapping up a great prospect here?

he should do the king kenny route

Eh it’s a Celtic matchday pal.

But I sensed Doak was for the off based on Ange’s recent hints and the fact he hasn’t featured for the first team since coming on against the huns.

Why aid the development of some little cunt that’s going to join a pack of orange bastards from England? Fair enough call by the manager.

I wonder if Dembélé getting some action off the bench lately suggests he might sign a new deal? Thought he looked lively in that cameo last night.

Easter Sunday at 2pm for the cup semi-final.

There should be a home and away arrangement for these. Hampden is the pearse stadium of football stadia. A barren, soulless awkward to get to dump.

Same issues as mentioned about the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on the Limerick GAA thread yesterday. The depth is all wrong and the seating is nowhere near steep enough. Huge wasted/empty area behind the goals also before the seating starts so it’s too far back. It’s brutal alright.
