So, at the risk of further ridicule, I was talking to an Indian lad and his wife, both from Wolverhampton yesterday, but now residing in alderley. Anyhow, your man asked did me did I like football. I said I didn’t really but I used watch Celtic a lot when I lived in Glasgow. He was a big Celtic fan it turned out. We chatted about Celtic for a bit, then he said a few years ago he was at a dinner sitting next to a lad from Glasgow and he said he was a big Celtic fan. Oh, said your man. Anyhow, he said it was only a few weeks after the huns had trashed Manchester, so he said to your man they were a rabble, a horrible club with horrible fans. Premier League? Don’t make me laugh, they’d get relegated from the first division.

So half an hour later another fella at the table came up to him.at the bar, and said “do you know that was David Murray’s son you were talking to”
