Celtic Summer Transfer Window 2020 & Associated Malahide Public Amenities Discussion

What says he is good enough for that level? Would he not be better off training with international players on a daily basis?

Stockpiling them and leaving them to rot?

O’Connor and Afolabi had not made professional club appearances prior to joining Celtic and were both loaned out last season. It’s up to them to prove they are good enough.

Celtic are a big club, anybody who knows anything about football will tell you that.

No he wouldn’t. Why would actual big clubs ever loan out players if they were better off training?

They’re a big club in Scotland and the northern part of this island. That’s about it

Some of them don’t loan out players. It depends whether training with internationals on daily basis is more beneficial than playing a lower level when there may not gain anything or going on a loan where they may not get game time.

Incorrect, they are a huge club in a global context, all the top footballers say it. Players who have played against Celtic on a big European night will tell you that, decorated players who have played for other big clubs will tell you how huge Celtic are. They are a club known all over Europe.

If O’Connor, Connell and Afolabi are good enough then they will get their opportunities.

It’s a bit rich saying Lennon is anti-Irish because he doesn’t play lads who have failed to play competitive football while he is freezing out a full Ukranian international.

I suppose they’re probably about the same level as a Rosenborg or Sparta Prague in that people would have heard the name before. If that’s huge then fair enough

Lee O’Connor is a full Irish international

Some of the biggest players in the world all know what a huge club Celtic are.

And the highest level of professional club football he has played is Scottish Championship.

This is why there are very few Irish players making the grade at Celtic, they are not good enough.

I just buried @the_man_himself

The same fellas describe Roy Keane as a legend of The sport and a great player yet you completely dismiss this.

Do they?

I watched Roy Keane get destroyed by a landscaper in the Scottish Cup.

Yep his legs were completely gone and had the decency to refuse a contract from Celtic and retire. Utterly bizarre stance to hold against him.

The big club thing is nonsense. Players can say lovely things about Celtic but I haven’t see xavi, zlatan or Buffon sign for Celtic.

Larson is gone 15 years now and things have completely changed since then.

Dembele is the best striker in Europe mate. He signed

When a fella like Fraser foster won’t come back from Southampton to try and win ten in a row it tells you exactly where Celtic are at nowadays.

Yet a guy like Shane Duffy is telling EPL clubs to piss off as he wants Celtic.

Football can be more than money sometimes. EPL fanboys just don’t get that, never will.

Brighton finished 15th in the league and he lost his place in their team. I doubt he’s telling many to piss off.

Apparently he’s told 3 or 4 EPL clubs he only wants Celtic. There is plenty of interest in him anyway from the EPL.

Or is that just agent talk you are lapping up? He’s an average enough player.

Don’t think so. Surely an agent would be trying to entice the highest bidder not the lowest.

Huh? I don’t see where any of those players said Celtic were a huge club? None of those players would ever dream of actually playing for Celtic

Zlatan: “Henrik was good enough to play for any team in Europe. But after playing at Celtic Park it is easy to understand why he chose to stay there for so long”

Xavi played for some side in the middle east, Zlatan played for LA Galaxy. Of course they would have no problem playing for Celtic, they’d probably have no problem doing it for a lot less than they got at those problems.

The issue is Lawwell would offer them a bar of Snickers and boarding at the Rennie Mackintosh Hotel.
