So we’ve signed 11 players yet some positions continue to lack quality and depth.

The fee received for McGeady basically covers all that. We also received money for Boruc (£2m), McManus (£2m), Fortuné (£2m) and Sheridan (£300k). We’ve basically banked a chunk of cash. Hmmmm.
Very disappointing alright Bandage.
Apart from the money we received in we’ve also let Rasmussen go to the Bundesliga where he’s scoring goals and Keane of course has left too so we’re certainly weaker up front since last season. I’m pleased with most of the signings we made (other than Murphy and probably the full backs) but the problem positions are still there. This squad may be good enough to beat the huns, not convinced but it’s possible, but there was a chance to make that certain and we didn’t take it. That chance has been there for about 8 transfer windows now and ignored every time. I thought the McGeady money might make it different this time but it won’t win many trophies sitting in the bank.
Free Agent Danny Shit-tu will be joining Glasgow Celtic in the coming days
