That’s a lovely clean strike.

Very impressed with Turnbull and Soro again

Jullien was beaten very easily there. Excellent recovery then. That looks sore but hopefully just sore.

What a clearance off the line from Julien. He looks in a bad way though. No danger of Barkas saving anything anytime soon

They got through us very easily there on the break. We were very narrow and left a huge gap on the left for the break and then on the other side for a simple switch. Guess it’s a limitation with the formation but we can’t over commit like that.

Silly shove by Bitton there.

I might be doing him a disservice, because he may have a shattered shin bone, but Jullien is a bit of a pussy. He goes down for a few minutes in nearly every game. We could do with him being fit for Saturday. Interesting that Bitton was on as replacement centre back instead of Duffy. Why was Bitton even making a challenge in the box there btw?

Edouard has been poor today.

I think we’ll be having a very, very interesting pre Glasgow derby debate about the 4-diamond-2 formation. One of its main limitations alright is that you can be exposed defensively on the flanks. What’s the huns strongest area? Probably Tavernier and Barisic overlapping from full back. We’ll need to weigh up whether the positives outweigh this (getting the two strikers linking together, allows for plenty of midfield combination play and good passing options/angles in there).

Yeah. They played though the middle of us last time but usually it’s the flanks where they cause problems and I’m sure they’d target it against a diamond.

But it does give us numbers in midfield, gives us the chance to play two up front, and doesn’t force us into a back 3.

I think I’d nearly start Taylor in the formation though. Laxalt gets caught ahead of the ball an awful lot and that seems a recipe for disaster against the huns.

Lovely ball from Griff and Edouard with a lovely lofted finish.

Frimpong made some mess of that chance! :joy:

What a touch from Rogic.

Frimpong gets in some great positions but is so wasteful.

I missed a bit of the second half because the Tesco delivery came, even though we booked in for the 6pm-8pm slot. But that seemed like another fairly strong display - sharp passing, chances created, generally high energy and good attitude. Soro is infectious (cc Cillian Sheridan) and brilliant at recovering the ball quickly when we lose it. Almost ashamed to say it, but not sure we’re good and/or tough enough to win on Saturday. But we’re in a better place than this time a few weeks ago anyway. Apparently Lennon said Barkas is now restored as permanent first choice too.

I think the players will be suitably motivated to deliver.

I think the huns are looking worried and they’re going to worry more.

We’re going to do it.

He needs to stick to his guns and play the players who have played the last few weeks. The worry is he will panic or try and be too smart and revert to form, recalling Barkas today wasn’t a great start.

Issue now is this game could well be pulled before Saturday…
