I think it was mostly just unlucky. Would have liked Bolingoli to be stronger and not just poke it but he was conscious he was facing the wrong way I think. It was collectively a little timid but mostly unlucky I reckon.
Bolingoli definitely facing the wrong way to deal with it, thought Ajer could have taken charge.

Frimpong is the real deal
Bolingoli has improved immeasurably since his first 7/8 games. He still has a mistake in him but the vast majority is positive.

I think we will get caught out sometimes with the full backs but it’s very encouraging to see them pushing forward. Our passing from the back has been really good with Frimpong offering himself every time. And Bolingoli is keeping them pushed back on the other side and allowing Elyounoussi to get involved centrally.
A lovely attacking balance to the team. And Lazio were able to deal with it better and exploit the space but were still beaten so it was good to see us playing the same way in Europe.

That one was really poor with Elyounoussi on perfect position and no change of direction required or anything.
Hayes is doing well as a Bolingoli replacement.
