Not our best performance though we controlled most of the first half. And then seemed to fall off it in the second half and didn’t pass it well at all. O’Riley didn’t have a great game and Hatate was poor beside him. Thought Bernardo added a good but when he came on and helped us get our shape back.

This are terrific scenes for all Irish republicans to enjoy.
Christ, Celtic were brutal in the second half. The huns started winning battles all over the park & forced plenty of set pieces without creating anything significant.
Celtic lost control of the game & had no rhythm. Front six were all below par to different extents. Johnston & CCV probably our best players but it doesn’t matter how you do it in a cup final as long as it gets done.

If you told me in December that Celtic would win a double and that Adam Idah would play a big part in winning them I’d have said you were mad. Rodgers in fairness deserves huge credit but my god is there a job of work to be done in the summer. Even if he does sign Bernardo and Idah there’s still 5 or 6 key positions to be filled. BTW Hatate was dire today, horrendously inconsistent, injury issue’s notwithstanding.

Few funny performances today.
Scales was good in the first half hour or so and used the ball well mostly. They did the usual tactic of letting him have the ball but he played a few good passes and he moved it quicker than usual. Then had that weird shove and then conceded a corner from nothing and some of his passing and clearances in the second half were really poor.
Hatate was really bad. He didn’t hold onto the ball well but he also didn’t really cover much ground and looked tired from early on. And had a few lazy tackles where he slid in because it was easier than tracking a run. And he also pulled out of a few tackles too I thought. A lovely player but that was really poor.
Idah was poor until the goal when he came on but actually did really well for the 10 mins of stoppage time and played his role perfectly.
Bernardo and Idah both look good enough to join but we definitely need more quality besides and that’s even without addressing the goalkeeper requirement and the lack of a second left back.
