Celtic v Livingston ☘

A ridiculous response. He’s neither a coward nor lazy.

A solid draw and a clean sheet verses a bogey team.

It’s an off the ball incident

A bubble burster of a result.

David Martindale is no daw

That’s nothing to do with anything though. It’s a foul in the box when the ball is in play.

Ange sounded deflated afterwards. We really didn’t create nearly enough chances. Don’t want to be too harsh on Giakoumakis because he was the designated penalty taker and anyone can miss a penalty but the one thing we did do today was fire in a lot of crosses and he didn’t look threatening from any of them.

Badly missed Rogic but equally they were deep and just trying to stop us from shooting centrally and we couldn’t lure them out of that block. And don’t know if they’d have been undone by his play either

We’re definitely short in centre/attacking midfield options. Bitton as the first alternative when one of the three first choice midfielders is injured isn’t where we need to be.

Agreed. And he went back to centre back when Starfelt got injured which shows what his instincts are. Ange really likes to stick with the formation and system but we finished that game with inverted fullbacks and centre backs and the same shape they hadn’t really caused them problems. Hard to overload them then when we’re sticking to a game plan that they know in advance.

Doubt we’d change the formation even if we had other options but at least we could change the style of midfielder. All our options are changing the front 3 and we miss a Christie sort of hybrid player who can move around the front 3 and drop back to create. Kyogo is probably the only player we have capable of doing that but we need him in the box when he’s on.

I’d rather we took the Bernard Higgins money and used it on a creative midfielder instead.

We didn’t deserve anything from that game really. The penalty was like winning 500 quid on a scratchcard and then losing the ticket.
Such is life.
If we are to win the league we cannot afford many more such games I don’t think. The huns will crumble but only if pressure is applied.

Sounded like Glasgow Celtic didn’t give Meadowbank Thistle the respect they deserved.
