Yeah we’re used to seeing these ROTATIONS and patterns and how the beautiful synchronicity has developed since the start of the season. These are pre-ordained movements that have become almost instinctive and we destroyed them over and over again with the same combinations on either side and involving groups of different players. Cox references a load of these examples because it kept happening. As you say, it’s not like it was one or two examples, and/or a journalist/pundit making a dubious conclusion based on a small sample size.
Celtic were very good last night but Rangers were really appalling . Celtic should have had 5 at HT
Rangers sat back from the word go and didn’t seem sure of what to do . They really lacked energy and you man Barasic was awful ( wasn’t helped either )
Soro looked well off the standard last night, albeit a cameo in a dead enough game. I’m unconvinced going forward tbh.
Yeah, Taylor played the role excellently. I think his stats were unreal good in things like duels won, interceptions etc apart from all the positional stuff and off the ball movement when we had the ball. The Diallo guy was all at sea. I’d noticed a few of those still shots Cox referenced while watching the game. There were occasions when Diallo didn’t know whether to follow Taylor infield or stay wide and there was plenty of them remonstrating with each other about who and where to track. They were completely overwhelmed by the pace, precision and purpose. It’ll be interesting to see what they learn from it in the next league game. Because we play each other so often there’s always plenty of chances to analyse and come back with a response.
In other words he’s exactly what James McCarthy has always been
i like him, he is a safe pair of hands and a cool head to bring on with 10 minutes to go to take the sting out of a game
Clyde SSB at 6 o’clock should be worth a listen
Hadn’t really seen much of this player prior to last night but I’d agree he looked miles off it. Tough coming into a game like that, granted, but his touch was really poor. Seemed to be circling back on himself a lot too.
Think Ange made a call on Soro early on in his reign and he’s been sidelined pretty much. He was meant to be leaving in January but it didn’t happen for whatever reason. He’s effectively the 5th choice for the 1 holding midfield slot now behind McGregor who started (1), McCarthy who came on before him (4) and then Bitton (suspended) and Ideguchi (injured). A bit of a toss us between those last two as to who’s first in line if McGregor’s out, but I’d expect Soro to be off in the summer.
What was said?
He said Callum Mcgregor with the face mask shouldn’t have finished the game because one of the rangers lads should have throttled him basically.
I’d paste a link here but it doesn’t seem to be letting me? @Rocko?
Boyd really is an idiot. He tries to play the provocative role in the Sky coverage, essentially their version of Sutton on BT. Others may think Sutton is a pain in the hole, but I think he’s quite smart and witty, has a bit of self awareness and takes the piss out of himself. Boyd is just a loud, bitter hun with no redeeming features. There seems to be a real McCoist love in on social media for his co-commentary going back to the summer tournament but he at least calls incidents fairly irrespective of his allegiance. For example, he rightly had no issue with the first goal the other night. Boyd, meanwhile, was raging it was allowed. He’s a complete nuisance and very stupid.
McCoist likes to keep neutral but it was great hearing the fume in his voice when he was mentioning Diallo and Sakala as too lightweight
Yeah Boyd is thick, inarticulate and woefully biased.
I’m not sure I’d be objecting to what he said in this instance. He’s a fool. If Roy Keane said that he’d probably be criticised but would you expect any action to be taken?
I’d hope Sky lose him anyway. He’s dreadful.
