Celtic vs Borussia Monchengladbach

What a pass by Rogic for that Sinclair chance.

Half Time: 0-0.

Celtic very fortunate to be level.

Draw really flatters us.

Midfield haven’t been at the races. Rogic did nothing all half but a wonderful ball near the end. We’re too slow on and off the ball though. They’re robbing us too easily and we can’t get any pressure on them. And that’s letting them get running at our defence which looks shaky on the Sviatchenko Tierney side of things.

I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing McGregor after the break. Has obvious limitations but think we might need his mobility and can’t really leave the existing trio as they are.

We’re being overran, can’t deal with the tempo Monchengladbach are setting and we are giving the ball away too cheaply. We also don’t really have the measure of them in pace to be a threat on the break.

Their passing has been really slick. Celtic maybe aren’t pressing in unison and as hard as they did against Manchester City but they’re still moving the ball around us really impressively. They’re getting in down Celtic’s left a lot - I don’t know if this a Tierney, Sviatchenko or both issue. At the risk of repeating myself, our lack of a standout central midfield signing this summer is hurting us again. Brown and Bitton are getting beaten every which way and they’re not winning the physical battle either. We only have Armstrong and McGregor on the bench to change things in this sector and they’re not great options. I don’t really know what to do to change it aside from telling everyone to play better and work harder. Yeah, that’s it. Celtic need to play better and work harder.

After all that, what a shit goal to give away.

3 awful contributions from Gordon and the 2 centre backs.

Hazlenuts better .

Ah that was dreadful to be fair.

Very disappointing all round display. Terrible mistake by Toure.

A comprehensive beating. Uncertain from the beginning and well outplayed. Toure was mainly at fault for the first goal and fully to blame for the second one. Messy individual errors for the goals but didn’t deserve anything on the balance of play. I can’t really see how our midfield will be able to contain them away from home either. They were very slick on the ball and their movement was class.

Guys, you can’t hurry love.

I am sorry for Celtic but in fairness it’s great to see a team with a real European tradition perform on the big stage.

The borussia lad with the red/orange boots looked a grand player whoever he was.

Due to some high jinx we have an injured party.

There is currently some ice being held against a head. I must stress, it was an accident.

Against a head, not a nose?

Pass on my best wishes to @gonzo

I felt the support let Celtic down last night.
