Sky Sports News said we were playing Aalborg first but declined to mention when or where
Aalborg beat Kaunas 2-0 home and away. They also knocked Sampdoria out of the Waffa Cup last season so they’re no mugs.
Villareal have this young Santi Cazorla guy too of course. Comes with a big reputation but was used from the bench by Spain in the Euros. The Spanish left back Capdevila also plays with them and their South American midfielder Mati Fernandez is quality too. They don’t have huge pace in their side (other than Cazorla) as the likes of Rossi, Nihat and Llorente upfront are more technical or what have you. Good side obviously but not insurmountable.
Liverpool start away to Marsille
Liverpool’s Group D fixtures are as follows:
September 16 v Marseille (a)
October 1 v PSV Eindhoven (h)
October 22 v Atletico Madrid (a)
November 4 v Atletico Madrid (h)
November 26 v Marseille (h)
December 9 v PSV Eindhoven (a)
UNCONFIRMED CELTIC SCHEDULE - haven’t booked anything yet:
Home 17th Sept Aalborg
Away 30th Sept Villarreal
Away 21st Oct Man Utd
Home 5th Nov Man Utd
Away 25th Nov Aalborg
Home 10th Dec Villarreal
David Gill said on the United site that the Villareal game was at home to begin with. I wish they would just put the fixtures up on the site if they have the information.
Clubs are in cahoots with airlines at the moment. Heaven forbid they’d release the fixtures to the supporters straight away. Instead they’ll tell all the airlines first so cunts like Michael O’Leary can raise the prices on match days by multiples of 10 or 20 and then they’ll divide up the cash between them. Cunts! I want to go out tonight too.
United Fixtures
Home 17th Sept Villareal
Away 30th Sept Aalborg
Home 21st Oct Celtic
Away 5th Nov Celtic
Away 25th Nov Villareal
Home 10th Dec Aalborg
I used the fixture list you posted Bandage and made the assumptions.
Its close to 200 euro for Ryanair going from Dublin to Manchester on the 21st of October. They are rip off merchants.
You just have to be imaginative and fly to Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham or somewhere and then get a bus or train up. That’s why we use Edinburgh a good bit. dancingbaby and a few of the lads flew to Newcastle for a game or two last season and got the train up to Glasgow. These cunts don’t miss a trick with raising prices.
Ill probbably and wait and see what the tour operator groups are charging before deciding my course of action. I dont mind paying the cash as everything is sorted and I will stay the overnight as well. Ive done the day trips and it just isnt worth being up the whole day. The Villareal and Aalborg games would be cheap but the Celtic one is going to attract the most attention and this will reflect in the price.
Those Celtic fixtures are now confirmed here on the UEFA website:

Were you disappointed that Liverpool didn’t get any trips near Orange Lodges John given your links with the Orange Order?
