Champions League 2014/2015 - Matchday 2

Liverpool not great. At least they are keeping a clean sheet.

Ahem, 3 & counting. :pint::pint:*:clap:

*And Basel have just scored.

No longer. Our old friend Mr. S.P. Calamity pays us a visit again.

Balotelli is a charlatan.

Liverpool’s shooting has been atrocious tonight

Great to have Jim Beglin back on Champions League nights.

Balotelli was probably Liverpool’s best player tonight.

Sterling needs to be rested as much as possible. Huge physical and mental responsibility to be placed on a 19 year old to be Liverpool’s main creator.

Some lovely passes by Ozil and finishes by Welbeck tonight. Keeper getting himself sent off when 4-0 up.

Galatasaray keeper may as well have thrown 2 of them in tonight

Had that same thought earlier. I’ve always thought Muslera was shit.

The Sanchez goal was a joke and the 2nd Welbeck one was poor from him

He was crap for Lazio a few years back and I have vague recollections of him letting in soft goals for Uruguay too in WC 2010*.

*may not have happened.

I believe Rint called him out big time during WC14

It did happen. He was beaten with a couple of high central shots as I recall.

agreed.
the commentary and analysis on sky is probably the worst one has and will ever encounter
im currently in the north kildare region and was watching the zenit/monaco game earlier, Don Goodman was doing co commentary with some no mark at the helm, ok the game was poor but the cliche laden inoffensive shite they cam out with did it justice, 0-0 at HT and Don announced as the 2nd 45 started ’ both teams will be looking to score here"… this will give u an idea of what was on offer… the last time i watched sky was in december 2013 and when galatasaray and juve was called off due to a storm, Dean Saunders was doing the analysis that night…
anyone who was watching malmo and olympiakos as well earlier will agree with me,

RTE have some cracking co commentators Beglin and Brian Kerr are superb
