Tierney is a great Cavan name .
Will you leave the young lad in the Hyde and Seek?
I’ll join you for lunch so.
Did NL get a bit thick at the press conference ?
This is my thread now… Your shite is over…
Didn’t see it. What did he say / do?
He’s going to get slaughtered for leaving out £10mn worth of new defenders, playing our best midfielder at left back and preferring Lewis Morgan to Sinclair and/or Shved.
I didn’t really hear it tbh but the body language looked a bit confrontational .
Lennon is finished as a manager
He did well for a while in his first spell but his time is well gone now
Celtic shouldn’t have appointed him
Playing mcgregor left back
Starting brown
Sack lennon
This was his BBC interview. (I think he gets the McGregor thing completely wrong. But Brown is basically at fault for the first and second goals and looks like he was the one slow to react to the third one too. And I don’t think either centre back showed they could defend crosses convincingly, particularly Ajer who I thought was poor. McGregor at left back was less of a problem than Brown in midfield or our two centre backs being poor.)
"The goals we conceded are crazy. You’ve got to do the basics well – you’ve got to stop crosses, close people down, get your head on things – and it was almost as if we scored and wanted to switch off and control the game.
"In the first half, we were way too passive, way too slow with the tempo, so we gave them a bit of a razz at half-time and we got the right response going 2-1 up. But we needed that two-goal cushion. It’s suicidal the goals we gave away tonight.
“The first goal, we got a warning before that, and we still didn’t stop the cross and the guy’s got across for a run. If you don’t do the basics defensively well enough then at this level you get punished. We’ve let it go. We’ve only ourselves to blame. We had the lead and we let it slip through our own decision-making really.”
“People can point at that but he did set up our equaliser and I thought he had a very good game,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. "I don’t think the left side was really the problem tonight.
“We’ve got to work with the players. We’ve got to raise their morale, first of all. We’re going to get a bit of criticism and that’s totally par for the course. We’ve worked really hard to get where we are we’ve basically thrown it away. We’ve got some good defenders but for some reason they wanted to slow the game down.”
How many players that have been signed since August last year started tonight ?

One. The right back. He was decent again. One came on in injury time for a rare cameo.
That sounds like a poor return? How many players have been signed since summer 2018? Would it be near 10? I know Christie came back from on loan…
Bayo was the only real player we signed on a permanent transfer that we paid a fee for last season.
Can’t really remember who we signed last summer.
We signed Bayo, Shved, Jullien, Connell, Bolingoli and Elhamed since January, and only the latter started.
Mulumbu, Izzy - free transfers
Benkovic, Arzani, Toljan, Burke, Weah - Loan
Bain, Edouard - spent previous season on loan
Shved - spent the season on loan with the club we bought him from
Bayo - arrived at the end of January after not having not played for a month

As @Cicero_Dandi says we simply haven’t bought many players. Christie coming back and Ajer and Johnston developing have covered up for the lack of new blood in the team.
We stumbled across Bain as a solution to our goalkeeping problems. We look like we haven’t a clue what to do about left back.
We have a superb striker in Edouard who must surely be itching for a move now. And we have some very good midfielders like Christie, McGregor and Forrest but we’re not bringing in first team players to help them.
And we lost Dembele, Armstrong, Boyata, Lustig, Tierney, Roberts…
Rodgers was a messianic type of manager and we almost felt privileged to have him at Celtic. Players who might otherwise have looked to move earlier to a bigger league stayed on, but I can see lads looking to call it quits now. I fear Wexford will sink in a similar manner when Davy Fitz leaves.
Celtic is a good job for many managers, the board just weren’t interested in hiring a guy who might have ambition and they couldn’t control on a doggie leash so they settled for a lad who had been sacked by Hibs and Bolton in his two previous jobs.
1st September at Ibrox is a massive game for Lennon personally now, and Celtic’s prospects this season. It could all unravel in a fairly ugly manner if we’re not careful. Team selection, tactics, game management were all brutal tonight. While we were saying we needed a 2-goal cushion when we led by 1, we didn’t need to chase it in such a cavalier way and leave ourselves open. It was probably a game for Bitton to be introduced in hindsight. If we’re not selling Sinclair (and the English window is shut, isn’t it?) then why is he behind Morgan in the pecking order? I won’t even mention McGregor at left back again.
