Has been consistently good for various clubs & his country for a long time. Was not always surrounded by quality of teammates like Iniesta at Barca.

I think Modric is one of the greatest midfielders ever but Kante is a brilliant player too and destroyed him in this tie last year.
Kante isn’t flash but he’s a proper player’s player.
Made a massive difference in the 2014 final. Never really rated him before that
Playing alongside Tom Huddlestone at Spurs was the making of Modric.
