Very slow to get ball forward. Zagreb match was always going to be a crucial game.id take point and then beat young boys
Hatate looked tired at the end . He was getting in good positions but just too slow to react
After initial burst Engels has been poor last few times I’ve seen him
Mbappe is finished. A fraud Bill.
Same arc as Neymar.
Never was a Messi or a CR.
Kelleher did well tonight, a clean sheet and a penalty save against Real Madrid isn’t a bad nights work.
I don’t think there is many clubs in the World where he would be a second choice
Ireland
He’s not second choice for Ireland. Baz is young yet but he has surpassed him for the moment at least.
Mark Travers as well. Been a while since we had a choice of 3 premier league keepers
That Onyedika chap was all over him for large parts of the game & was very good for them. He scored an extra time goal to dump Celtic out of the CL qualifiers in Postecoglou’s first season for that Danish side Midget Land. I think several of those Brugges young players will go onto good clubs in top 5 leagues. As you say, Celtic have a really good chance to hit the 10+ points mark away to Dinamo Zagreb & definitely at home to Young Boys after that.
Travers is underrated imo.
Play Alison left back. Kelleher in goal.
Problem solved. Marys your uncle. Bobs your aunt
Knowledgable reds yet again.
Yeah that was a better second half but still took a fantastic save and then the disallowed goal to contribute to the draw.
But as @Bisto said above we’ve lost plenty of those games in recent years, and even many times when we’ve played better than that. So did well to grind out the result in the end.
Hatate was just off with his touch tonight but it was at least encouraging we created opportunities that should have been chances with some more precision
Thought Trusty was really good but Onyedika was the best player on the night by a distance.
Trusty was probably Celtic’s best player. Valle added a good bit too. Faster than Taylor & able to cover ground quicker in attack & defence. Bernardo was also decent & deserves a starting place ahead of Engels on current form.
That Emi Martinez save tonight was unreal.
Another penalty save for Kelleher tonight where he didn’t hold onto the ball (cc @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy).
Unnecessarily focusing on the negative aspect of very positive situation, is there a name for that?
