Fuck it anyway. I was thinking…just get to half time & reset. Celtic had the ball for a while just approaching the break & Taylor knocked it out of play. They moved it around from the throw in & I didn’t think Upamecano had that kind of searching ball out wide in his game. Taylor slightly unlucky then with the ricochet back into Olise’s path after his initial challenge but that was a brilliant strike. Celtic had been doing okay, albeit Bayern were monopolising possession. I think it’s the three behind Kane that make them so hard to play against. They’re all so elusive, comfortable on the ball, can take it on the half turn, go either side & work hard too.

I’m probably overstating but he is such a brilliant player to watch. Two-footed, dribbles with his head up, scans before he receives the ball. He definitely has Balloon D’Or potential but he has to go and do it.

Celtic goal should have stood, it’s a stupid rule, the flight of the ball is well established before Idah runs across the keeper. There needs to be a rule change there. Neur is gone at the game, that’s why he didn’t save it.
Maeda for a ball of energy looks a bit leggy tonight. Maybe because Rodgers has run him into the ground recently as they didn’t think his suspension for tonight would be overturned. Jota an option off the bench for the last 25 or so but tbh I think this will be trying to stay in the game for the next 20-30 minutes. Probably plenty of defending & keeping the defensive shape while Bayern probe around the edge of the box.
It’s a tough ask, the Bayern 5 in midfield would all be deemed exceptional on the ball bar maybe Goretska and even the likes of Upa at the back are deceptively good.
