My heart goes out to The Buff, The Cliff and all of the TFK Celtic ultras. A performance and heartbreaking result that is the epitome of Irish teams at European/international level.

Davies the useless cunt

That was tough on Celtic. Great performance.

The fellas waving the big flags on the Sudkurve must have arms like Schwarzenegger.

As soon as he mentioned “Kimmich being reduced to shooting from long range” you knew he was talking too early with 2 mins still to play.

“Keeping a clean sheet in Munich”

Gut wrenching. Terrific performance. Very calm and assured.

Do Celtic go into the Europa league draw now?

Buff will be fuming, call the ref a Spanish omelette. Till be gas

Nope. There’s no Champions League drop-outs into the Europa with this new system.

Maeda was body checked at the start of that last period of possession. The ref was following play with his head cocked back & I was sure he was going to stop play for a head knock. Really gut wrenching in the end but that was a brilliant display, & this whole campaign represented a huge leap forward in European terms. Celtic have a technical & tactical level that can now compete with the elite in Europe. Rodgers has done some job but he needs to be supported by the board in the summer now. It’s a pity that Bernardo was injured because I thought we really needed legs in midfield late on. I would have brought McCowan on for Hatate but it’s a minor quibble.

“Well fuck it anyway” was Buffs immediate reaction
He summed it up accurately in fairness

That was a TFK away day. I recall @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy buying me a few bottles of Bailey’s to drink in the away end. I think the likes of @Rocko, @RaymondCrotty, @thedancingbaby & @Funtime were all there too. Kaka scored an individual goal in extra time.

He spoke very succinctly about the ridiculous decision to show Atalanta v Club Brugge on Virgin Media. Oblivious to the fact that Virgin didn’t actually have the rights to the Celtic game.

Yeah McCowan clearly isn’t trusted at this level but there’s a point where we need to play him I think. Bernardo was a big loss as was Kuhn going off. Yang defended really well in fairness but he couldn’t do anything on the ball.

The Maeda thing was very frustrating. He’d have been back there putting pressure on that cross at the end. Idah had one a minute or two before where the referee thought long and hard about the free but opted against it.

A bit like the first leg - I don’t know what was incorrect or not from the ref but we didn’t seem to get any luck.
