Champions League 2024/2025

Defeat on the sometimes lottery of penalties but victory for the knowledgability of Liverpool supporters.

Unfortunately the identity of our penalty missers was also all too predictable.

Curtis lad took one of the most telegraphed penalties I’ve ever seen.

You’d have to fancy Aston Villa to win it out now.

The WoolieParkinson/GerLock vibes were strong here

We spent the summer in Prague in 1998. Ened up watching england v argentina in an irish bar that was full of english apart from us. A great evening with us baiting all around us. The penos were a fraught affair but as soon as we saw batty walking up to take a peno we jumped up celebrating. We knew. The English knew too. I got that feeling again tonight when i saw Darwin Nunez walking up to take the peno tonight.
Its just lucky for him he’s off the social media i suppose.

PSG played some terrific stuff over the two games. Vitinha is the veritable midfield schemer, great to watch him buzzing around the place.

Are Liverpool not the best fans in the world?

A sad night tonight in the Shankhill after that loss

Best team won.

Becker should have stopped the first penalty. Liverpool would have won the shoot out then. That’s the holy all of it. I’d have caught it in my cap.

Curtis Jones should concentrate on improving as a footballer rather than trying to save Liverpool fans from an opposition player celebrating in front of them.

Woefully out of his depth tonight.

At least Gay the bollocks had the balls to tell Mike to fuck off

Kenny is off on one here

This may be worse than thinking you’re on for a hup in the wordle thread and then ending up with a 5 or a 6. I mean was it 2 posts and an offside goal. I think I’ll give up on god after all

First time ever Liverpool haven’t made at least the semi-final of the European Cup in a year ending in 5 in an even numbered decade.

The last time Liverpool weren’t in a semi-final of a European Cup in a year ending in 5 in an even numbered decade, there was a World War on.

Jones was very poor when he came. Lack of athleticism was noticeable.

First time in their history going out after taking a lead into the second leg…… run was something like 38 games

Only refers to times Liverpool were at home in the second leg I’d say.

Doue looks a serious player

What outstanding young player do Arsenal have?

Saliba is very good. Saka is good too. Nwaneri has promise. Other than that it’s fairly middling.

Arteta has them overperforming their squad.
