Sorry, they haven’t won it in the last 5 years, you’re right
Want an invite bud?
The league was done at Christmas, a real anti climax feeling to this season for them now. They needed a European Cup to prove they are a truly top side. As it is, they are merely the least worst team in the PL.
Leicester City were more impressive title winners than this Liverpool outfit.
That’s the long and short of it. A bit how slot can switch between game plans.
Salah and the Dutch cart horse at centre half will end up staying, no doubt.
The Windsor Park taig Bradley will slip in for that cunt Trent.
This casts a long shadow over Liverpools upcoming title win
Id say van dijk is the best PL centre half ive seen.
Its a shame you never got to see Kompany.
You haven’t seen much, son.
He’s no David May, who was on Newsnight last night.
Ah he’s certainly not a Dutch cart horse by any manner of means. Lets lay down our hilarious footix banter weapons.
Yep, Liverpool have done it twice.
It’s Tyrone Mings’ to lose at this stage.
Just signing in now to sift through the posts from last night. I was training last night during the first half and the sheer volume of real life group chat messages and side group discussion meant I hadn’t the time to even look in here. Better team won over the two legs. A pity Liverpool didn’t end up on the side of the draw with Benfica and Dortmund/Lille, which they would’ve done if the placing had been seeded. But alas it’ll still be a great season if and when they win the league in May. People genuinely thought Liverpool would be languishing in 6th or 7th under Slot this season.
Atalanta last season if we count the Europa League.
Everything after the league win would be bonus territory. I feel fine after this exit. A real calmness to my footixing today.
Cc @footixoftheday adjudicators.
I remarked on that in the side group around the 60 minute mark last night. That Quansah header that rebounded off the post was very similar to a Firmino chance in the Atletico game. The same date and Cheltenham week too. The circumstances of Liverpool running away with the league and coming unstuck against an awkward round of 16 opponent in Europe eerily similar.
I do recall Virgin Media put the extra-time on free to air in 2020 but they didn’t even stretch to that this time. You’d want your head examined to not have some form of Sky/TNT/Premier Sports/Dodgy Box. I’d say there were some sports mad children around the country who were deprived of that game last night if the monetary situation at home didn’t afford them the channels to watch it. At least they’ll have their weekly free to air LOI now though, unlike in 2020.
madrid did it too
The Pope can breathe easily. The irony of a royal wedding being the portent to a Liverpool European Cup success. Hopefully we’re not waiting for George to tie the knot.
That was a proper schooling!
