These shite hawks prancing about will wreck the surface

2012 DFB Pokal Final: Borussia Dortmund 5-2 Bayern Munich

A common thread in much analysis before this match has been how Bayern have sussed out Dortmund this season.

Two 1-1 draws in the league. A 1-0 win at home in the Cup. Is that the evidence?

Their 25 point winning margin in the league is also cited. It means nothing.

Bayern may win as it’s a 50-50 match but I don’t get the overwhelming confidence in most analysis about their chances. Robben and Ribery are not players I’d want on my side in a final.
I didn’t see all that cup game - think it clashed with a Celtic match - but certainly there was a 20 minute spell where I felt Dortmund were on top. The pattern of the match seemed to be rewritten once the result was known.

Lahm - the most overrated full back in the world?

Piszczek is a superior full back in every aspect.

The last time one of my teams went to Wembley we took the trophy home with us, against the odds.
You are a Jonah.

Sounness is some cunt.

Get your facts right before you have a go at me.

I think Bayern are too reliant on the individual skills of Ribery and Robben while Dortmund are much more fluid in their passing and movement.

Dreadful opening. 3 corners and fuck all from them

Opening up a bit now

Decent tempo so far with Dortmund pressing high up the pitch but the football has been sloppy enough

Lovely game so far.

Very good start from Dortmund. I’d be very worried if I was Heynckes about how easily Dortmund are working the ball into Lewandowski’s feet.

They’re afraid. We’re not.

Super chance

Two decent stops by Neuer

Hon Dortmund!

Bright start from Dortmund - managing to get Lewandowski involved in good areas and 2 smart saves from Neuer. That one for Kuba was a great chance.

Gundongan and Bender stomping all over the robotic Schweinsteiger and the donkey Martinez.

Gundongan really is a class act, you could never get tired of watching him
