Champions League - Last 16

Like I said, canā€™t believe Ambrose was selected only 48 hours after playing in South Africa.

Aside from that, Celtic have been very impressive. Some of the interplay to work the ball to the overlapping full backs has been top class and Izaguirre has put in some wonderful crosses. Iā€™m disappointed with Brownā€™s display thus far - he needs to step it up - but Mulgrew has been good in midfield and Wanyama has been typically excellent. Commons has been our best player and I think Hooperā€™s playing well too. Forrest has been quiet and thatā€™s where weā€™re missing the magnificent Samaras.

Very, very quick tempo and hard pressing from us so will need to use bench. Ledley, Matthews, Watt etc - all good options. We do look vulnerable to an early straight ball over the top though - thatā€™s the concern.

I think heā€™s held it up well, heā€™s occupied their defenders and heā€™s linked well with Commons in particular.

Commons has been a joy to watch thus far, if they are to get back in it, it will be through some of his magicā€¦ I still think something differnet to Hooper is needed.

Prime example of Hooperā€™s worthlessness right there, Mulgrew surges forward plays the ball into Hooperā€™s feet and he plays a horrible pass straight to Lichsteiner. Get Watt on now.

The ref has had a good game so far but I can see him producing a game changing moment.

Celticā€™s performance tonight has carried echoes of the '67 final.

Mon to fuck.

Lustig seems to have gone off injured in nearly all our CL games this season.

Not sure why Hooper is getting criticism, I think heā€™s been excellent. Would put someone else on the keeper now but that is certainly distracting them and should have brought a penalty.[/quote]
Why does Lennon have his main striker marking the keeper anyway? Surely heā€™d be better off using some big grock of a defender to do this.

I thought Lustig had an excellent game tonight and put in a number of wonderful crosses which if we had a striker willing to put his body on the line we could have had a few wonderful opportunities.

Hooper has a big arse and is very hard to move, he is also shit in the air and can barely jump so putting him in a place where he can be hard to move was the correct choice, his only contribution has been to make Lichsteiner act very rashly tonight.

Oh dear, we wonā€™t be getting many better chances than that tonight.

Time to get Watt on FFS!

Juve are distinctly average. Defending stupidly deep and canā€™t keep the ball as a result. No way they would make top 4 of the EPL. Top 6 would even be a stretch.

Surprised with how mediocre they have been, on another day Celtic could have had three so far.

Watt is coming on - game changer.

Commons off? Lennon is stupid.

Celticā€™s set piece deliveries have been very disappointing tonight.

The referee is a disgrace here. This is like Hierro and Niall Quinn.

These corners are becoming a joke at this stage, why the fuck are the Celtic players not standing up to the Juve defenders as opposed to looking at the Ref for a penalty continuously?

Not one fucking corner has threatened Juventus in the second half. Game looks gone now.
