God Bless England eh matey
as the ball is getting crossed the traitor is ambling towards the corner flag
I noticed Irwin is nowhere to be seen either mate.
A lot will depend on what United end up bringing back to Old Trafford from the first leg.
Probably because he had been subbed off at this point in the game.
Well done mate, you were in the top 2
Wayne Rooney has been left out of the Manchester United starting lineup. So too has Johnny Evans. Giggs starts.
Real Madrid are as expected.
I think Madrid will crush United tonight, they will have a nice bit of confidence built up after the wins over Barcelona. Iâd surprised if United are within a goal of them at FT.
ah fuck

More shocked over Evans being dropped than Rooney being dropped. Nani starting a slight surprise too.

A few surprising calls there. Rooney has been in poor form but itâs still a big decision to drop him. Thought theyâd save Giggs for a rousing reception around the hour mark.
Man Utd: De Gea, Da Silva, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Welbeck, Giggs, van Persie. Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Valencia, Rooney, Hernandez, Young, Kagawa.
Real Madrid: Diego Lopez, Arbeloa, Varane, Sergio Ramos, Fabio Coentrao, Khedira, Alonso, Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo, Higuain. Subs: Adan, Pepe, Kaka, Benzema, Albiol, Modric, Callejon.
The thick aggressive Paddy was laughed at across Europe that night and you have lads from bogs in Mayo, Cork, Cavan and Laois who still think he was a great midfielder. Keane is not very highly thought of in the continent as we saw him for some temperamental hatchet man who picked on soft targets and had little technical ability.
I canât see any of Carrick, Cleverley or Giggs being capable of doing the Phil Jones role. I think thatâll be crucial for Ozil centrally and both wide players as Jones has been very good at covering all across the pitch in front of the back four.
Just watching Sky Sports 2. Davie Provan is an idiot.
1-1 Utd to go through on pens.
Manchester United will win and will get through. I just had a cup of tea and the leaves at the end told me.
Coleen Rooney:
âCannot believe Wayne Rooney is not starting tonight!!!â
SAF wonât like that!!!
Who on TFK is going to come across all Zonal Marking and watch the Borussia Dortmund-Shakhtar Donetsk game instead?
Speaking of Zonal Marking, heâs reminded people on twitter that Rooneyâs poor tracking back from wide allowed Real Madrid in for their 3 best chances aside from the goal in the first leg. I can only remember the effort where Coentrao stole in and De Gea kicked it away in an unorthodox manner.
Ferguson just gave an interview and said the reasoning was because they wanted someone to sit on Alonso and stop him playing and he reckons Welbeck is best to do it. He said Kagawa didnât do it all that well in the first leg. He mustnât think Rooney can do it - he might have been influenced by Rooneyâs pitiful efforts to stop Pirlo playing in that Italy-England game in the Euros. I also recall Ferguson going spare at Rooney in the 2011 Champions League final because he wasnât getting close to Busquets.
