I can understand the adulation about Messi (drug cheat) and Iniesta because they are very good players but Xavi is a nothing player, a coward, the first one to make excuses after a defeat and the first player over to the referee trying to pressurise into buying Barcelona’s classless tactics.
I think he’s one of their least classless players. Very rarely if ever play acts or cheats like most of the rest. Stop trying to bully me round to your way of thinking.
He is reprehensible, he’s like the classroom snitch.

A soccer player arguing with a ref? Would you ever fuck off with yourself!
Samaras was beyond majestic tonight. He’s been a better Celtic player than Larsson in my opinion and he’s got years ahead of him in our shirt.
I thought Celtic were spot on tonight - credit to the manager yet again. Forster came to the party again with a few great saves late on but we were very unlucky with the Forrest and Mulgrew chances before they scored.
Barcelona showed yet again why they’re absolutely despised by all right thinking people. A rabble of cheating scumbags. I hope they all get nasty colds and/or throat infections.
Looking forward to the double header with Ajax immensely.
Steady on now. I had the pleasure of watching larsson regularly in his pomp and samaras is not on the same plane. Moravcek was absolutely brilliant as well. Samaras better than larsson. Dear dear.
He’s not arguing with him. He is haranguing him. A lot of footballers will dispute a referees decision after it has been made, Xavi on the other hand is the first one there to the referee telling him what his decision should be. He has no class and feels this typical sense of entitlement that seems to be unique to Barcelona players. His behaviour after Milan beat them 2-0 at the San Siro last season was a disgrace.
@Rudi and I have not always seen eye to eye on tactical matters but I know a gentleman when I see one and Rudi is a gentleman.
That’s Xavi in a nutshell right there. Just because he doesn’t appeal and harangue the referee with the same theatrics and histrionics as Busquets doesn’t mean he’s any less snide or malign an influence. Indeed, it’s hardly a surprise that his harassment of referees tends to be underwhelming, boring and almost unnoticeable. Much like his passing.
How people could even suggest that Xavi is better than Pirlo is beyond me. He is not fit to lace his boots.
I don’t think he wants to lace his boots, pal.
Xavi was a benchwarmer when Rijkaard was there and Barcelona were more concerned with playing attacking football than loaning each other the ball in the middle of the pitch. He’s a parasite and only succeeds because of a system - not because of any ability people say he may have.
He picks mushrooms on his day off.
Xavi

ah jesus totti , that’s pathetic in fairness
Quelle suprise, over paid, arrogant, uneduacted , socially retarded professional footballer argues with referee and tries to cheat so he can earn more money.
i dont even think the word cheat is correct in fact, its an accepted part of the game at this level
Broony was an idiot and cost us big time.
It was really stupid alright. Pointless and petulant.
Its fantastic to see Bracelona being exposed for the disgusting institution they are.
Indeed.
Will the 9 points we’ll have by the time we travel to Catalunya be enough to make the last 16 ??
Brown should be stripped of the Celtic captaincy… He’s been at this messing the last 3 times I’ve seen him play…at this stage of his career he should know better…Samaras showed how to lead a team by breaking his bollox for the team…

We’ve only ourselves to blame if we have to pick our strongest team for that game, ahead of the busy Christmas fixture schedule.

Xavi paints himself as some sort of honorable protector of the game. He’s one of the most disgusting figures in the game today, a sneaky little coward.
He’s one of the most decorated players of all time and a key player on the most successful international team of all time. Don’t hate the player, hate the game rudi…
